Study on Application of Fly Ash as Concrete Ingredient in Thailand & Japan

Brief Information : While fly ash is an unwanted by-product from the power generation process, it has been long recognized as one of efficient concrete admixtures. Concrete engineers in many countries around the world are working to totally apply fly ash in concrete production. Astonishingly, Thailand is the only country that can achieve the goal. Currently, 100% of fly ash generated in-house is utilized as the cement ingredient. This study is to summarize Thailand process to promote the usage of fly ash concrete with a comparison against the situation in Japan.
