Brief Information : The environmental condition has a tremendous effect on the life span of the RC structure. The marine environment can induce a severe corrosion in RC structure rapidly. However, in Thailand, very little intention has been paid to this crucial issue. There has been no practice of designing structure based on its environment and expected performance. This project was launched to evaluate the performance of RC structure located in marine environment in Eastern Thailand. A brief of life-cycle cost analysis is also conducted.
